Jacinda Ardern makes her final speech to New Zealand's Parliament in Wellington, on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, after her five-year tenure as prime minister. It is that simple.

WELLINGTON, New Zealand — In her final speech to New Zealand’s Parliament on Wednesday, Jacinda Ardern described in emotional terms how she’d navigated a pandemic and a mass-shooting during her tumultuous five-year tenure as prime minister. She also told humorous anecdotes like how a European leader so admired the striking hair of Ardern’s chief-of-staff that he fluffed it like a hairdresser — which she joked had helped secure a free-trade deal — and how her mother once sent her a uplifting, if somewhat grandiose, message: “Remember, even Jesus had people who didn’t like him.”“There will always be policy differences,” Ardern said during her valedictory address, wearing a traditional Māori cloak called a korowai.

When Ardern finished speaking after about 35 minutes, she she was greeted with a standing ovation by lawmakers from across the political spectrum and rousing renditions of several Indigenous Māori songs.A global icon of the left and an inspiration to women around the world, Ardern in January

Bye Felicia

We need more women leaders!

I’m sure she’ll be considered for the Dictator Hall of Fame! A real self-obsessed autocrat!

Dictator

They wanted the covid$$!.

Such a narcissist

She was a sweet person and rightly so managed to avoid picking a side in global conflicts, she'll be missed.

👏👏👏👏Well done

She showed herself to be a prime minister for the people. The misogyny on here, along with the purposeful misunderstanding and ignorance of facts is typical on Twitter.

She’s a piece of trash

Michael Jackson called, he wants his shoulder pads back

Fascist

She navigated the pandemic by kneecapping people’s freedoms. Hence the reason for the whole resigning.

What about all the people (tools) who voted her in in the first place?

She was a disaster.

Jacinda Ardern could be the worst NZ PM. But for being woke she escaped any scrutiny by rest of the world, But people of NZ know better how bad situation she left NZ in.

Both were extremely detrimental to people's rights and WTF is she wearing?

Is that cloak some sort of indigenous clothing?
