Sky News Contributor Joe Hildebrand says the Labor Party has not broken an election promise regarding the $275 cheaper energy bills because “it is not 2025 yet”.

“I don’t think they should’ve committed to a specific figure, but they always said this would be in 2025,” Mr Hildebrand told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“You simply cannot accuse them of breaking an election promise, and indeed, Anthony Albanese on this very network today said that he still expected that figure to be reached.”

Energy regulator warns government of 50 per cent price hikesThe Australian Energy Regulator has warned the Federal Government that electricity prices will rise by up to 50 per cent in 2023, says Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell. Mr Clennell said government sources have confirmed to Sky News that Tuesday night’s Federal Budget will contain a forecast for a price increase of 30 to 40 per cent in 2023. “The prediction appears to all but rule out the government being able to fulfill its election promise to cut power bills by $275 by 2025,” Mr Clennell told Sky News Australia. Does your employee allege that they said it, or are they reporting that they said it? Privatisation of utilities has failed Australians. This Thatcher pick copied by Australian Liberal governments failed us Price going up 50% is one thing. The blackouts and power rationing that no one is talking about is much more problematic.

Chris Bowen is ‘deluded’ and ‘dangerous’Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen is “deluded” and “dangerous” as the energy crisis continues nationwide, says Sky News host Chris Smith. “I always thought if he got any promotion above the arts portfolio, we’d be goners and now look what he’s doing with climate change,” Mr Smith told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “At the end of the day, we’ve got a situation where that particular party for ten-plus years have demonised gas and coal so much that when they get into power, they put all their eggs into one basket, and this is the price you pay.” What energy crisis? Sky propaganda Interesting, I didn’t know Chris Smith was qualified to make assessments as to the mental capacity of Bowenchris. Sounds pretty slanderous and defematory to me.
