Going into the debate, the Trump campaign signaled the president would home in on Biden's son Hunter's work with overseas businesses, arguing it led to the former vice president personally enriching himself. The president pointed to reports in thethat described efforts to create a business venture in China that included money for his father and his uncle.
Biden was ready for the attack."I have not taken a penny from any foreign source ever in my life," he said. He argued that Trump's focus on the Biden family was intended to distract from the problems facing voters' families. The president made multiple references to Biden receiving millions from foreign governments, but didn't provide any evidence to support his claims. Biden pointed out that many of Trump's allegations about the Biden family were proven false during the impeachment probe.

That was not a 'real debate'. My 13 year old students can far better teach us what a real debate is supposed to look , sound, and feel like - and they have been far more 'presidential' than anything we've seen on TV these past few weeks.

It was a good debate with neither party overstepping to overshadow the other. We applaud the civility, respect, platform organization, and collegial character of last and final Presidential debate. Kudos to President Trump and VP Biden.

Well, it was closer to a real debate. What is needed is instant fact checking on what is said. When someone like Trump tells his half truths and lies, he is immediately called on it. Otherwise, there are many who will believe those lies and confuse them for truth.

I don't think it was a 'real' Presidential debate. I think our expectations are so warped by 45 that just because it wasn't loud or very rude, we think it was legit. It wasn't Trump gave no policy info and tried to push Biden into a corner instead. it was awful.
