Australia’s economic recovery will “not be driven by taxes but by technology” and fixing the industrial relations system, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said in an address to the National Press Club.

Australia’s economic recovery will “not be driven by taxes but by technology” and fixing the industrial relations system, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said in a pre-budget address to the National Press Club. “We are rebuilding our economy for the future,” he said.

Mr Morrison outlined his strategy for economy recovery listing the Jobmaker program, reliable energy, technology investment, infrastructure development and lower taxes as key priorities for his government over the coming months and years. He also highlighted the importance of improving industrial relations in order to support jobs throughout the pandemic.
