Save up to £196 by switching as 67 energy tariffs are cheaper than new Ofgem price cap

ENERGY bills will get cheaper this week because there's a new price cap on tariffs that limits the amount you can be charged.

And it warned that people shouldn't rely on the price cap or they risk missing out on savings worth hundreds of pounds, especially those who haven't switched for a while. The green energy provider's fix'd 20 14.0 and Green's Maple tariff both offer average bills of £854 - a saving of £188. The cheapest deals are usually found online and are fixed deals - meaning you'll pay a fixed amount usually for 12 months. It helps to have the following information - which you can find on your bill - to hand to give the new supplier. An up-to-date meter readingIt should take no longer than three weeks to complete the switch and your supply won't be interrupted in that time.
