Bushfire survivors have launched legal action to try and force the New South Wales Environmental Protection Agency to develop a climate change policy.

Bushfire survivors in NSW say the state's EPA is not doing its job properly because it does not have a climate change policy

One survivor who has witnessed three devastating fire seasons firsthand says she does not need any more"wake-up calls" David Morris, chief executive of the Environmental Defenders Office, said his clients were calling on the EPA to better protect communities for the future. "There's a statutory mandate to protect the environment … but the EPA don't have a current policy to regulate greenhouse gas emissions."You can't be both required to protect the environment and then ignore its greatest threat.

What a stupid thing to be on about in the middle of a pandemic.

Indeed ABC indeed 😉😉.

IBackJoDodds. GretaThunberg ExtinctionReb ExtinctionR. I hope during PandemicLockdown, EPA's western worldwide, measure volumes of emissions motor industry is responsible for, and back off from targeting coal.SurfaceTensionChange high pressure oil/ gas release plus fume

Just when you though it could not get sillier, out they come again. The first hurdle for these dills, is proving the NSW government, can alter climate and change the weather. It would be entertaining, if it wasn't for all the stupid people. That's the real concern.

if WE believe in things WE can't prove and WE value things WE don't understand ... ... are WE too DELUSIONAL & APATHETIC to *wake-up* or care? conservation climate

Greens want more action on climate change. So what! TheirABC

Pollution is not limited to Australia & as such any greenhouse gas emissions is worldwide , how are they going to separate that into an effective lawsuit ? We are only a tiny portion of emissions that they claim caused the fires

'Fire survivors' actually means 40 greenies who formed an action committee. FORTY! Nothing biased about the ABC is there?
