Extinction my arse. There are still plenty of them around. Saw 3 last week in a dam in Western Vic! They might be endangered in areas where scum leave their shit in rivers and streams or the same tributaries fed by stormwater etc but they are doing well further out!
I feel downhearted by this. ABC you need to put warnings for your stories that have images of dead animals. Given the climate change crisis, the images of the bushfires depicting destruction and death are in abundance and it’s overwhelming.
