NSW Liberal MP Matt Kean has resigned from politics and plans to pursue a career in the energy industry.
He previously served as the deputy leader, treasurer and energy minister under former premier Dominic Perrottet.the state government handed down the 2024-25 budget, which Mr Kean referenced in the lead-up to the announcement. "I feel I made significant changes, positive changes, as my time as the minister for energy, so I intend on continuing trying to make an impact in the energy industry, in the private sector," he said.He thanked his family, the Liberal Party and the Hornsby community for their support throughout his time in politics.
